I have the 20V MAX LED Hand Held work light. Works great. Stands upright on the battery with easy ratcheting tilt forward (downward) or backward.

Here's another option.  Shop around--have seen them for less than $100:

I have a task light similar to the Dewalt  , love it and use it all the time and for ice fishing and in the garage.  Didn't know if the DeWalt lantern is worth the money to use for ice fishing.  The ole fuel lantern saw its last day.

True, everything is going electric but I still use a propane lantern (one or two mantles depending on weather) because it is a source of light AND heat. If really, really cold I use a lantern and heater because ..... just look at my forum name.

I have Milwaukee and Rigid rigs instead of DW but they should have a usb charging platform that slips onto your LI batteries.  Order up some cheap LED light strips and a USB pigtail harness (ebay or Azon) . Wire it it up and then wrap that LED strip around a metal coffee can or similar with some clear gorilla tape over the top.  Runs for days and mine has lasted over 10 years.  I can send you a pic later if you like...just pm me. Lot to be said about propane lantern and heat source but if all you're looking for is lighting and have the batteries this has worked well for me.  Actually I rigged up another harness to power my Marcum Flasher off the same setup but I rarely use that anymore because of the lightweight  LI Ion batteries available for flashers.

This light is excellent.
Don’t let the base (which is the battery) sit directly on top of the ice.
It has a rotatable hook for good light direction.

You can get a nice LED lantern most anywhere for 20$ or so. D cells and save yourself a bunch of $$. I've got a nice one that I take to camp. I think I've changed the batteries once in the last couple years.
