There is hope!

A lot of guys are doomsdaying the ice season but there is ice out there. I was on 5 to 7 inches of solid ice today. I know it’s hard for people to find the time to drive to or fish ice that’s far from them. BUT it’s there if you can find the time to get to it. Not trying to cause trouble. Just some people like to hear positive news.

A lot of people seem to think if its not a huge lake that you can drive on its not worth fishing. But I got out the other day and landed a 15 inch crappie and lost a 6 lb largemouth at the hole on a 10 acre pond. It was a hell of lot better than nothing and there's quite of few of those small ponds still locked up if you don't mind the drive.

Long range models starting to show potential for a cold feb/March...but I tend to follow optimistic weather nerds.  I'm hopeful though
