Today, Mogli, his girlfriend and I fished Cheshire (2nd) Lake from 11 AM to 5 PM.
We practically had the place to ourserlves - - I think there were just three other guys out there (and only two at any given time) the entire day.
The weather was sunny, with temps in the low-to-mid 30's, and sometimes breezy.
I only had one flag the entire day - - on which I landed a small pickerel - - . and nothing at all on my dead stick.
I did a bit better jigging - - six sunfish, one perch and one crappie (so at least I can check off the box for my first crappie of the season).
Mogli's girlfriend did about the same - - landing a few fish on the jig - - and also did some ice skating.
By contrast, all of Mogli's action was on tip ups.
He landed a few small bass and perch and one absolutely HUGE PIKE.
I don't want to steal his thunder, so I'll leave it to him to post the photo and provide the "stats."
But suffice it to say his big fish made the day for all of us.
