Finally on the ice again! The bite wasn't the best but it was a great day to be fishing. I got to see the next party over catch a 38" pike so that was awesome.

Nice crappie!  I got out yesterday from like 11-330 as well.  We landed about 2 dozen stunted bass a pound or under and landed about another dozen good sized gills on the jig rod.  It was what I was expecting but nice to dust of the gear on a beautiful afternoon.

Sounds like that pond is bass heavy. You need to keep some of them.

Nice way to start the season and I was hoping for a few crappies but settled for a bunch of perch to fry. Nice for all to get on the ice and enjoy before it melts and have to start over again to be safe
