On the board for the 22-23 season!! Updated with video

Found one pond with safe ice, out of the 6-7 that I checked. Fished for 2 hours this morning. Jigged up a pile of YP, few pickerel, and a bonus Crappie. Didn't know they were in this body of water. Felt good to hit the ice. Wish the 10 day forecast was a little colder. Be safe out there... Video coming soon!!

Heres the footage from my first outing of the season if anyone is interested in checking it out!!! Be safe if you venture out. A lot of unsafe ice out there!!

16-18 ft at the deepest. Not sure on altitude!

Got it. My guess would be 1,500 - 1,700' +. You're a lucky man. I have too far to drive to get to anything fishable currently.

A lot of our crappie have that color. Some have a deeper gold color.

Probably around there. We are way behind. Next 10 days looks terrible for ice making.

Indicates very clear water bay. More tannins = more and deeper colors. Pretty fish!!! NICE PF I think I saw your tracks somewhere very recently....  :icefish:

I'm in Central Maine, too, and even before this warm spell, I never saw more than a skim coat.  Glad someone found something to fish!
