Nice work. I did a local trip for warm water stuff with some people that haven't ice fished before and it was fast and furious then cut out around noon. Headed to winni tomorrow hopefully the bite will be on still and not pouring down rain.....

Nice morning!  I'm due for a laker trip soon.  I'd like to get a couple smaller sized keepers and try smoking them.  Something like this....

i have the opportunity (which is rare) to fish either saturday morning rising pressure post-storm with bitter 15 mph wind, or sunday morning no wind and in the negatives with high stable pressure. A toss up and a good problem to have

Yes it's a good problem to have and I'm choosing Sunday. Wish I could do both.

I was going to go to my hut on Saturday and Sunday.. but I'm going to just go sunday. No wind is a game changer, especially for hole hopping. I fished in the "blizzard" last weekend and we killed it (rough drive home though)...came back the next day, blue bird skies, post front... and got smoked. Always seems that way weather hard or open water. I was marking them too... they just shut down. So, Sunday it is for this guy. Good luck out there

Same idea here, no wind is so much nicer. Maybe I'll go for crappie tomorrow afternoon, but Sunday will be an all day affair. Hopefully things aren't too slushy from the recent storm.

Figured that's what it would be like, I wasn't planning on heading that far away but will probably walk closer to home this weekend so the snowmobile doesn't get stuck.
