The countdown starts...9 more months.
« on: Nov 17, 2006, 12:40 PM »
9 months from tomorrow I will be marrying this wonderful woman.

I am so lucky to have introduced and hooked her on icefishing, salmon fish, and she tells me to go out and kill things when I go hunting. She loves wild boar and venison. I made a great catch. Best of all we will be getting married in the Adirondack Mountains. Can't beat that.

Been married 4 years and with her for 8, wouldn't trade the world.
Ignore the wedding horror stories that will inevitably start cropping up 2-3 months before your wedding--they're always hideous

The employment of effort, hard work, time, and energy put in locating fish will offend noone.

I'll second that sentiment!  You have a real keeper there adkroy!
I CAN clean fish.  My wife, on the other hand, prides herself in the art of filleting fish.  I mean to tell you, she can fillet ANYTHING, therefore I call myself "The Lucky Man."

Thank you all. We are really excited. I loved it every morning this past weekend she told me as I left to go out hunting to "go kill something".

Roy:
Met my wife on a blind date 13 yrs. ago.  Told me that it was important for a man to have hobbies (hunting and ice fishing) that he is passionate about!  Knew I would marry her after the 1st date!  We got married on the shore of Long Lake in our bare feet, jeans and T-shirt 2 years later.  We bought a camp in Indian Lake 5 years after that and plan to move there for good in about 10 more years from now upon retirement.  We are up in the Adks. almost every weekend and she spends the summers there with the kids.  I hit a grand slam and sounds like you did too.  They do exist. Ya just have to look a little harder!  All the best and congrats.

Mike

:D Jaeger what a great story. Well my fiance told me to go kill something tuesday afternoon so I went out and shot a 4 pointer. I think she got more excited about it than I did.  ;D  By the way we are getting married in Caroga lake in the Southern adirondacks

Roy:

That's great!  My Wife gets all giddy when I bring home a deer too.  My 9 year old girl loves deer cheeseburgers!  Got a buck last week with the bow and it became a family affair with the photo.  The picture came out so great we are considering it for the family x-mas card this year!  Caroga is a beautiful lake.  It will make for a nice setting.

Take care- Mike
