Mid February is a tough time of year on Black.
The earlier ice you get on there, the better.....good luck in February though...Esox
Mid february is pretty much a tough time any where's in NY state for the warm water species...At least that has always been my experiences. Seems like that is the time of least oxygen and coldest water temps. Once the spring thaw begins to trickle water in, the fishing starts to get better.
But per black lake, I've had descent seasons crappie fishing after dark in February. The key being after dark.
