Dang  i didnt know yellow perch fishing was such a secret up here kinda sad eveyone acts like this. Guess ill just have to get out there and secretively try to catch a jumbo perch somewhere ??? ???

I sent you a pm with as much detail as I would give just about anybody and I bet dollars to donuts I wasn’t alone. That and you got great general intel from folks on this feed. Unless I misunderstood, which is possible, I’m not sure what else you’re looking for.

There you have it folks, 10 posts in 7 years and pulling the kid card and he got a outpouring and still is ungrateful.

Are people starting to pick up what I’m putting down now? Burn me once right?

And what kills me. Absolutely kills me. Is the people I’ve met on this sight would give the shirt off their backs to most as long as they knew they wouldn’t eat it later.

I got fed up after the insane amount of info through PM’s and couldn’t even get a reply back with a simple thank you to acknowledge they got it.

Bottom line if they aren’t a frequent flyer on here willing to share each trip or tips etc. ignore the posts there’s another 40 just waiting for guys to ask things so they can read it anonymously on top of it

With most things in life experience and practice are the best teachers. I think folks who start off fishing or hunting think there is some magic skill that guarantees success. Most of my memorable catches/kills have happened through time spent on the water or in the woods. I killed a doe this year with only a 2 weeks left in the season after being out every morning and evening I could. Two days before I shot her while still hunting I saw the type of fresh sign I had been looking for all season. When I went back in 2 days later there there were 5 does and I shot my biggest doe yet @132lbs (I know its not a trophy but it is to me). Even with the best intel there is never a guarantee.... you have to put your time in. I cant wait for my big lake to freeze. I've only had spotty luck with lakers through the ice but am determined to unravel this particular lakes secrets. Only way to do this is to get out there and learn for myself, perhaps with a few helpful hints.

One of my buddies guides out in Western MA and we catch some very nice browns. People always ask whats his secret..... his answer is always the same.. 10,000 casts.

Thank you, I adore that gun. It wasn't cheap but the quality and accuracy more than make up for it. Looks like you had a great season, congratulations on that Buck! I bet that mount will come out great.

Just finished making 15lbs of smoked venison sausage. Will be a part of many meals out on the ice this winter.

Agreed, they were worth every penny. I  carried them all rifle season they are that accurate. I got a Woodman Arms Muzzleloader this past season and same thing, amazing accuracy.  Thanks! I’ll share the mount on here when it’s done, taxidermist called last week and said around first week of February

Thanks Richard! I got a few bucks this season as well, this particular one was a 2019 deer but the taxidermist is just now wrapping it up.

Yes! Wall space comes at a premium, I just built another wall In the basement for hanging more mounts.

Knew you did. Expect your taxi must be good. That sounds like a fairly long wait time?
I wondered if you'd decorate your daughters bedroom walls before you put them in the mancave?  :-\

14 months is pretty normal with the sending it out to the tannery etc. and Covid shutting some places down.

Ha! I did just redo both daughters rooms new paint, floors, trim. The man cave still needs work

Understood. I remember when good Lake O taxi's would take around a year for a fish, long before covid.
Don't beat yourself up improving your new house. Ya have to leave something to do in your retirement.
Maybe, go fishing every now and again?  ;D

Didn't Sharps haul in a 16"-er on the last ice of the 2019/2020 season?
New England does produce some jumbos, for sure.

Yes. A true giant for sure. My experience pretty much fell right in line with all of the statements already made above about jumbos. A replica will be added to the man cave once we relocate with baby 2 on the way very soon. She can have a spot on my wall near my 17" crappie.

Just add water.
