Anybody see this video on Youtube?  Long but well worth your time.  He even did a promo spot for Sebago Bait in another video.

Is he on IceShanty?

Been doing it for years now, all over the state, it's a blast.
There's nothing like waking up and just start fishing.
We don't cook and eat in the fatfish we sleep in though.
Nice vid.
Bait goes on the hook... hook goes in the water...smelt is in the water...OUR SMELT!!!

This is a great video, I enjoyed watching it when I found it about a week ago. I do a lot of winter camping in my Clam X200. But I never have a hole in the house overnight, especially if it's going to snow. I've seen that exact thing happen a bunch before!
Quote- fishslap: I use a variety:  whistlin' bungholes, spleen splitters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker don'ts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistlin' kitty chaser

Those are nice videos. Too bad the overflow ruined the end of the trip. The lesson is never camp on the lake when big snow is coming, more often then not it results in overflow. That's a nice lake, I haven't been there in some years, makes me want to get up there again. It's a pretty good sled ride from the nearest access point I know of, glad the guy made it. Don't think I'd go alone for just that reason.

I camped on the ice last year for the first time.  It was a great experience and  I can't wait to do it again!

Save yourself the potential heartache and hassles, set your tent on shore and use it as a base to fish from. @)
