I just bought a new 10” auger bit to use with my Milwaukee Fuel drill. My old Mora auger is in pretty rough shape and I decided to upgrade this season. Hopefully I’ll only have to wait a week or 2 once it’s delivered, to try it out!   @)

I just upgraded to a 10i aquaview camera, had a 7 inch vexlar cam. looking forward to getting a chance to try it out. I can socially distant beautifully out on the ice :-)

Well if it counts I’ve been sitting in my shack in my garage, I’m always ready.

Couldnt take it any longer, grabbed a few things and found a dock with deep water.  Turned out to be worth it, nice 19" rainbow for dinner!

Oh yes!  Just built my first ice rod.  A nice NFC 34" UL blank that should put a hurting on the panfish and crappie.  Converted the FLX-28 to a lithium ion.  Ready to run and gun!  Just hoping that we will be able to travel to NY this winter to put the machines to work.

I made an unsuccessful trip to Erie for Steelhead at the beginning of the month. Since then I've been looking forward to some hardwater.

I ordered new stuff. ( diddnt need it lol) can’t wait to spend time on the water. Barely fall fished at all due to a late tag out with the bow but I still plan on a bit of boat fishing before it locks up but I wouldn’t be upset if it locked up sooner.

I'm not liking the weather forecast for central PA.  Unfortunately, I don't see good ice making temps for the next two weeks.

Won't be getting to the lake this weekend.  Truck goes in for work on Monday.  So maybe I'll have the boat out once or twice before it gets put in the garage for winter.  Probably going to sell my truck.  May have to try and cram everything into my 1999 Honda Civic!

I did get out last Sunday for some open water crappie.  Dad and I managed to bring home enough for a meal using crappie jigs in 25'-40', but it's not the same as ice fishing!
My Setup:  Otter XL sled on a smitty.  10" Strikemaster Lithium 50 Volt auger.  Clam Bigfoot XL 2000 hub.  Garmin Striker 5 Ice Bundle.

I hear that; the far Southeast was pretty much a bust. My average trip was around two hours as well. Didn't even get out on Hopewell. >:(  I've gone over 12 rigs so far and charged the Vexilar. Probably order spikes before it gets real cold since they last forever in the fridge.

Last year was a complete bust.  Did not make it out once.  Fingers crossed for this year. The south west part of the state can be a little bit stubborn when it comes to making decent ice.

Amen! Same here- lots of trips up to Wayne Co. last season. Luckily only 60  to 90 min drive for me, depending where I go.

That's awesome.  Unfortunately, there's a lot of guys who can't afford to put that much into the gas tank!

My son and I didn't get out once last year.  We ended up taking our Ice Blues rods out in the boat this summer on a panfish trip!  It was a real hoot catching nice crappies on ice rods in July!

Wasn't much better here in central PA, got out only a few times here, and ended up making the trip to Tioga every weekend in February for ice.

BIGDEERHUNTER, Don't be to negative just yet there's a long winter ahead, and if there is no ice near you (or me) I know where I will find some , may just have to travel a little and that seems to be the norm the last few yrs.
