working remote
« on: Mar 25, 2020, 07:47 PM »
After 2 days of working remotely, getting zoom to work, and waiting for emails I had to get out of the house. Thankfully I have good internet connection at my camp in Hancock county. I got there and set my 2 traps and then built a fire in camp. Soon it was time to connect to the first zoom meeting with the fire showing over my shoulder. We just got started when I had a flag and told the group I had to leave to tend a trap. I am sure most didn't understand but when I showed them a 15" trout the topic of the meeting changed.

I think I could get used to this remote thing.

The folks in that meeting that are stuck at home with kids that won't do their homework and a spouse that has been in a grouchy mood all week sure are jealous.  ;D

That was good thinking on your part to plan that trip around work.

That's great oldskidoo. Wishing I did the same, now it appears to be too late to travel.

I am planning to get out tomorrow for a quick fishing trip.  Will post what is going to be for dinner from the lake.

That is if it is not -30C like it was this morning.  I am not nearly as adventurous as I was forty years ago.  We used to fish in that kind od stuff all the time!

Yeah, it's not so bad. Initially we were worried about running out of food, but we can have it delivered. Then I found out they would drop off brewski's as well, now I can hole up forever.  ;D  Wish we could go to the lake for the last couple weeks of ice, but we're doing our part and staying home.

I don't have any zoom meetings scheduled tomorrow so I think one more try on the ice. I will stay where I can touch bottom easily!
