I ordered a bunch of blank tungsten jigs this fall to paint and save some money on jigs but the painting was tedious. So I tied some fur on them instead. Here's a couple I tied for a brookie trip tomorrow. I'll probably put a little worm tail on it if it doesn't work by itself.

Yeah definitely...... Planning on trying as is first but then adding some meat if they don't work.

Nice job! What did you end up getting for heads? Are those Keitech? I don’t paint the Heads on mine either, I just hit it with a UV clearcoat and send it. I do well.

Take some cream colored micro chenille and singe the end with a flame. Then tie it on. Looks like a maggot.

Those little 5mm tungsten I found online can't remember the site. I got 25 for $20. For the bucktails I ordered the heads from a site called lead free bass jigs.

Well they worked...... Didn't need any meat on the hook.

Fished for an hour and a half this morning and iced 6 brookies. One was a tank.

Thanks..... I'll hit that spot with the kids one more time and call it quits for that spot. It's fun for a min. From the stock truck to hook.

They are 5 mm tungsten jig heads ii got them off Amazon

Awesome job! I never have any luck without a little meat. I’ve tried before nothing then a little chunk of something and bam action on. Again nice trout!
