Which Rod Blank Manufacturer do you guys like the best??

Hey Guys,

Looking to build my first few rods. Gonna do a ultralight, medium light and medium ( Panfish / Crappie, small Walleye / Walleye )

Also what Rod do you guys like best for a IFish Pro and Jawjacker......I know they would be 2 different rods.......

Seeing what everyone likes to use and where ya buy from......

I've make 4 rods with Basskhang Custom Rods blanks. I haven't used them yet but they look good.I'll know more in another month.

Sportsmen Direct extreme taper fiberglass blanks are nice to work on. They sand well too. Also, they are very affordable. The 48” blank is only like $7. They come in 30”, 32”, and 48” and in a few different colors.

Bass Khang are phenomenal for the price, ready to wrap out of the package.
Sportsmen Direct are nice but I had to sand to get the actions I wanted.
MHX are expensive and I didn't like the actions at all.

You also have to decide if you want carbon solid blanks or fiberglass blanks. I've built a few power noodle (fiberglass) rods from DH customs, V-live, Sportsmen Direct, and Basskhang. Best bang for your buck would be Basskhang, no one can beat his price on a great noodle blank. Also he is now offering other components too like fly guides, handles, and winding checks.

For carbon blanks, I've built on Sportsmen Direct, Basskhang, and DH customs. Again, Basskhang has the best price for carbon blanks.

In my experience Vline has the best quality and finish on the market. Paint and material is exceptional, blanks are straight and true to spec. They have you covered from panfish (noodle) to crappie/perch (uncommon carbon) to walleye (wrecker)

Sportmans has the best value - great blanks for the price. Blanks are fairly straight and are high quality materials

32" extreme taper blanks are perfect for i fish pros or jaw jackers. 28" carbon UL is a nice match for crappie. 34" extreme taper and walleye special for walleye.

Pac Bay Arctos are great quality too
