Great place to get best prices on tungsten jig's. I use their jigs and batteries and they have a 12 amp hour that is same size as standard 10 amp. 1/3 the weight of sla's.

I've got all the gear I need but I have purchased a few too many new and "old stand-by" lures.

I certainly have all the gear I need, and likely will ever need.

I even have most of the gear I want.

But there is a "good feeling" that comes with buying additional gear.

The concept is, "If you cannot do it, the next best thing is to spend some money on it."

It is this concept that sells golf clubs and putters in the winter (gratefully I do not golf).

I think that this concept is responsible for the bulk of my purchases lately...I need to be able to get out and fish and stop all this nonsense.

A few more rods, and spoons, and I'll start painting some new jigs this week and finish making some more plastics after I figure out what mold I want.

I NEED a new vex battery... Mine took a crap finally at the end of last season....  Id really like a flipover shanty and another shappell dx3000... I like to sit the shappells door to door to create a long corridor shanty and then id like a flipover on the end so i can cut a spearing hole

The elusive 3-man flip shanty is on my want list this year now that my boys are old enough to fish with me.

I have a couple of 48" Ice Blues that I like as well. But my 36" are Schooley Arctic Ice that I really like. All fiberglass with good backbone. Use them for my Walleye jigging rods. About $20 if I remember right.

I'm not as concerned with a good deal as I am with actually finding one, hence my "elusive" comment.  The Eskimo Quickflip 3 is what I've been looking for but they seem to be always sold out.

Adding a larger flip shanty to the herd in hopes to get my wife out fishing with me more.  Her unspoken requirements have been to stay warm and comfortable while not feeling like a canned sardine, not having to walk far, ice thick enough to drive an M1 Abrams tank on it, and preferably staying on fish.  Logical conclusion: Otter XT Pro Lodge X-Over. Hooked up to the snowmobile it should cover all her ice fishing needs.  Oh, the things I force myself to do for my wife....  ::)

Have also added the required minimum purchases of new ice lures and tackle to maintain my 5-Flag standing per the Ice Fisherman's Code of Conduct.

Just bought a small jet sled at lakes area bait and tackle

Now on to out fitting it maybe with a wind break? Ect for hole hopping on the great lakes?

And maybe a rod or two I will build for future use but will see?

Sounds to me like she really doesn't want to go!  You can get all the gear to keep her comfortable, great transportation and everything else she want's, but ice thick enough for an Abraham and consistently staying on fish?  Good luck. lol

Kinda my thought too Snitch. Unless the first time you take her out the action is hot, it will be a one-and-done deal. But all is not lost...you'll still have all that nice equipment. 😉

Hmmm...dunno. Similar to the Shappell  FX50...except it has a roof...and only $150.
