Safe ice?
« on: Nov 22, 2018, 01:56 PM »
Happy thanksgiving all!
I’m not asking for anyone’s secret honey hole... but if anyone knows of safe, fishable ice, my brother is in town from Virginia, and we’d like to make an attempt Sunday if it is safe.
If you know of any safe ice, please PM me.
Thanks all!

I bet there’s a pothole pond or two up in the ‘dacks that have a solid 3 inches of ice but you really have to do your homework this time of year.

Plenty of areas with safe ice as of yesterday …..  but it may not be the case anymore.

I almost went but it's still deer season  @)
Goin' where the wind don't blow so strange,
Maybe off on some high cold mountain chain.

Some of the lakes that will have ice are 3-4 hours away from some of us. I always rely on info on here to get some info on safe ice before making the drive.
