Still have one and sold one. I bought 2 off Ebay several years ago and sold one of them. Mine were used of course. I also have a Kit Kast rod which is really old.

I picked up a couple years ago off Ebay thinking I wanted to simplify and go old school. While they have a coolness factor, they're actually a pain to use. Great gift idea or put it on the wall next to the spoon auger.

Really? That sucks. I kinda used two old schooley rods last year pond fishing and loved the simplicity of them with the stand to set on the ice. Thought maybe this swish Rod would be like that......guess not.

Hey Aggie... they wouldn't work for me in a deadstick application only because my home lake has trout to 10# and northerns to 20# and the little ice stand would risk a trip down the hole. If you're pond fishing without the risk of being towed under, by all means use your Swish rods. They're basically just a Schooley on steroids and are pretty cool to look at. The rod tip might be a little stiff for pannies though but you'll figure that out.

There have been quite a few used Swish rods sold on an online auction I buy and sell on over the years. I have never bought one but I do have a friend that has quite a few.


Ebay has become more of a Buy It Now site rather than an auction site. Probably because so many have gotten burnt from not getting what they wanted from what they were selling.
