Clam 5600/6800
« on: Mar 13, 2018, 08:34 PM »
I have portable ice houses. A clam 5600 and a clam 6800. 5x6/6x8 respectfully. They are the older suitcase kind. Fully repaired canvases. They are dirty. I don't know what they're worth, if anything. Any idea?

I have had the canvases repaired, they're a little dirty. I got them from a friend who ended up getting them from her dad when he passed on. She didn't fish, so gave them to me. Any ideas what they're worth if anything at all? I'm in Minnesota just north of the Twin Cities.

They have to be 15 years old or better.  Do they function as designed?
Every plastics manufacturer claims plastics outfish livebait. So now I use livebait just for the increased challenge.

My 5600 is only around 10 years old, still love it for some things... I also had the earlier version, with the walls sticking up on the floor in the middle, newest model has a flat floor...

Mine has a completely flat floor. The only part the "goes up" are the edges of the sled/floor where the canvas meets. It all functions properly. 1 of the slider bars that holds the poles up sticks a bit, but it's all fully functional.
