I would be gone! It does have a nice jigging action to it though.

I've fished this kind of ice on Saginaw bay.  The wind was blowing toward shore so we didn't worry about taking a ride or the ice busting up.  We were on ice that was almost two foot thick.  We fished for about an hour and the wind started changing direction so we picked up and headed for shore.  We were only out about a half of mile, in about five foot of water.  Within an hour the spot we were fishing on was almost out of site and in another half of hour the only ice left was about fifty foot of shore ice.   The funny thing about it was we weren't catching many out in deeper water, but when the ice left the perch concentrated in under the shore ice and we did rather nicely in two fow.  If memory serves me right, we caught nothing but 10-12 inchers.  Man I love fishing the shore ice for perch, on first and last ice!!!  We usually use neoprene waders when the ice starts getting rotten, so even if you fall through you don't get wet.

I was set up on this moving piece, for a while...

But I had my ice scratcher boat ready to go, and I left when it started getting really bad.. Couple guys on foot, pretty far away from me, where hopping ice chunks to get back.. Almost didn't make it!

In reality all ice even on smaller lakes move up and down when the wind blows.  Most of the time the movement is so slight you don't notice it.   Have you ever seen the water in your hole move up and down even when there are no machines on the ice?  That is ice movement from the wind.   Big bodies of water can get extreme movement as you guys have shown
