Summit lake

Was thinking of trying somewhere different. Have not fished Summit in 15 years. Any advice?

It's a great little lake, but sometimes you have to drill a lot of holes to find consistent fishing, so it helps to have electronics and a good auger.

I always look for evidence of weed edges when I ice fish Summit, even late ice.

The few bluegill I have kept out of Summit over the years have been chock full of little snails, if you're looking to "match the hatch" with bait.  They looked like they're used to eating well.

Any new reports? Making the drive tomorrow to try it out on way home, been bad last few days out in eastern Nebraska through the ice, so hopefully the gills are hungry like usually up there

Been a little slow for some guys.  Shallow early now with the runoff they might be a little deeper

Thanks,  are the shores holding together, or are they starting to rot out?

5 1/2" of ice on summit today.  Open water in the west bay.  Also be careful along the banks.  Soft spots, spud bar advised
