I wasn't grumpy... You can catch all those nasty stockers you want. I got home from work and had fish tacos with edible fish. Last trout I caught I used for catfish bait and they didn't want any of it either! Glad you guys had a good time.

I know how you LOVE those stockers Spider................ just bustin’ your chops!  ;D

I'll set a date when I get a few guys to go, so PM me if you want to go to Moon Lake some night. It should be soon because it gets fished heavy.

Not me. I'm in full out spring mode. Packing the ice gear and washing my suit and digging out the kayak and bass rods!

A few of us hit Duck Harbor yesterday.  Had 16" of ice, but it is getting soft.  No problem getting on as it was locked up.   Very windy.  Other than one 18" smallie, and another very large smallie that broke off at the hole, bite was devoid of anything significant.  Bunch of small perch and gills.  Good time though.  Good food, drink, and company.   Might be the season swan song, although I think one more weekend could be possible up in that area.  Certainly can be fished through the week.  A few years back, I remember ice fishing Belmont the first Saturday in April.  Hope everyone has a good open water season.

Anybody try Lac Lake. Bullhead bay seems to hold ice because of the shade. Belmont also sounds good if it doesn't rain and the shore opens.

I spent Sat morning on Upper Woods and afternoon on Duck Harbor with The Chef-on-Ice!  ;)

Bite was the same at Upper Woods- my buddy got one trout and missed a couple and I missed one. Plenty of marks, just not taking it. Tried near launch and out deep. Buddy had to leave at 11, so headed to Duck and spent the afternoon with The Gang. Good tunes, good food and good conversation!   @)
