Best to just go and drill a few test holes. I went the first day of trout season this year and ice was solid around a foot. Had a great day and good luck. Have not been back this year but from my experience last year with all the warm ups it helped by melting all the snow on top and with cold nights kept the ice solid and safe. This is a new year and it must be tested but if it is not safe at Peacham it is not safe anywhere. @)
