There it is guys a bit over 8lbs 23inch measured a weighted by Tags Tackle in Plainville CT

Was able to see and play with this fish for few minutes before the strike, on my new Vexilar FLX-28 that I got thanks to Michael Jinx Jasensky who steered me in the right direction before the purchase. Vexilar makes ice fishing insane, CAN'T fish without it anymore!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

What did you do with that great fish after having it weighed?

Congratulations! That's a beauty for sure! The fight on a jig stick, would love to feel that! Any chance you measured the girth? I caught one 23" long 15" girth a couple weeks ago, dead batteries in the scale, had to do a formula for estimated weight. It came out to 7¾ lbs (but not weighed on a scale) Again, BEAUTY!  That's a Bassquatch right there.

Keeping a bass from time to time is why you pay to fish. Its your right to keep a legal bass. End of story.

Thank you all.
I was afraid of writing that we ate the fish, thought bunch of you would not be ok with that, guess I was wrong. All is good.
I will be there this sunday I will gladly share my knowledge with who ever wishes.
As far as the spot where I got him ummmmmmmmmm lol I don't think so. I have it marked on my navionics down to inches of where I got him and that's the end of that.
I wish everyone good luck and I hope someone catches a bigger one than mine so we can see it and talk about it.
we did not measured the width wish I did.

Nice catch! Fish of a lifetime for NE for sure.  Def not a big deal to take that fish as it is at the far end of its lifespan (as well as your right too!).  That fishes genes are definatly in the gene pool of that pond.   I don't eat largemouth, but i usually always let the biggest (oldest) fish go for the sake of taste, older animals usually don't taste as good IMO.

One recommendation so you don't see an excessive increase in traffic in your spot...is that there is nothing wrong with just posting the fish and that it was caught in CT...maybe at stillwater it won't matter but just a thought.
