Ice Check drive-bys in Central NJ
« on: Jan 10, 2017, 07:08 PM »
I was out in Bordentown, Sportsmen's Center & Harry's Army-Navy, today and did a drive-by of Assunpink, slushy skim coat-you could see where the wind pushed it all around
before the storm - this warmup with the rain should bust it up good
Some of the smaller ponds on private property were covered over completely, but very thin, you could see it flex with the wind - Manasquan Res. had spots of open water - Echo
Lake, Monmouth County, 3 ft. drawdown-skimed over
Now is the time for all good men and women to engage in the sport of ice fishing

Drove out to Prospertown this morning, 90% open water, any skim ice was in the cove near the parking area off of Rt. 537 - the rangers had the unsafe ice signs posted for the
pond inside of Turkey Swamp Park - Manasquan was totally open
Now is the time for all good men and women to engage in the sport of ice fishing
