northern kankakee retention pond report 12/20/16
« on: Dec 20, 2016, 07:39 PM »
found 7"-8" of good clear ice on two different ponds. one with two inlets on its eastern edge had sketchy ice down to 2". caught 25 gills, 4"-8". lost a bass at the hole. all fish on bomb spoon tipped with mummified neon green waxie. not a bite on the tips.

Bloomington/Normal here and there's no fishable ice around, as far as I know. I'm itching to get out, but it looks like it's going to be the second week of January before that happens. Have rain in the forecast for Saturday and Monday. Mostly fish a private lake and will be out there on the 8th, so will check the ice then.
