Tuesday is the big day. Everyone get to the polls and vote. If you're not registered you can do it at the polls. Remember to bring a photo Id.  You don't vote - don't complain about what you get!

Great post. There is no excuse for not excersizing your right to vote. Too many people have made the greatest sacrifice to provide us with this right, and it's something everyone should do.... Even if you vote for Mickey Mouse...

Went through that with my daughter last year. A very proud moment. Glad your sharing her moment with her.

With all due respect, because this isn't directed at you, just the comment - I always hated that comment. I spent 14 years of my life in the military, so people should spare me the "sacrifice for your right to vote". And as far as a reason, I haven't seen one person running that isn't either a career politician (which I refuse to vote for out of principal) - or I don't completely disagree with their stances on important matters.
I see your point about a write in vote, but, I'll save the $5 in gas and just stay home and get some work done.

Love to hear this - my son is excited too. Won't stop talking about it. These are the folks I like to see at the polls - thoughtful and researched votes. Not just a rubber stamp. Well done!

No offense taken, and thank you for your service. I always throw the Mickey Mouse comment in because I have had friends who have gone to the polls to vote for mr. Mouse and eventually became engaged more in the process. I feel that everyone should vote, but I certainly respect people's right to express their opinion. Even if their opinion is to not vote. I may disagree but that's what makes this country great. Differing opinions are the cry of a healthy democracy.

thank you fellas for the kind words. she registered as a republican too. very proud moment for myself and for her. she put her sticker,"I voted" on her blouse and went to school to wear it proudly.
She did her research and made her own choice, i wanted her to choose for herself so I didn't harp at her to make my choice.
