Slow growing ice sucks

Man I have been checking some small local lakes and farm ponds that have been iced over for 5-6 days and barely have 2 inches and the geese have reopened 20x20 holes in a couple of them I just can't remember ice growing this slow so I guess I'll just have to go up to Madison tomorrow to get some ice time until it's safe around here
