I never heard of Hendersons before.  Would you mind sharing that location?  I'm thinking of going out tomorrow.

It's about 3 miles south of Etters on the west side.  Big arm bay is right there.  Can't miss it.

Man, that's just horrible, poor dog. :(

The person and dog must have crossed over that thin area with lots of current.
That part of the point always has heavy current and is never safe any year, let alone this one. :P

FYI. Anyone who fishes the bay at Hendersons. The old boundary for Big Arm Bay closing on March 1 used to be West of the grid road that dead ends right at the lake between Hendersons & Triple T. Apparently they changed the boundary it is now anything west of the 2 points right at the mouth of the main lake. There are signs that state the new boundary located at Hendersons. I drove through there on the weekend and obviously a lot of people don't know about the new boundary as there were a lot of people fishing West of the 2 points of the mouth.  I just found out today myself but have not been fishing there anyways. Might save some of you guys some grief if the CO's show up.

the derby is being held there Saturday,   usually  east of the dead end road,  but inside the mouth of the 2 points.   hope they know.

That's how I found out they are moving the derby out 100yards or so to be sure they are not in the closed area. The derby is still a go for Saturday. They will decide on Friday if they will allow vehicles in the derby area or if it is walkout only.

Be careful out there on the Qu'Appelle lakes including Last Mountain.  Water Security Agency has an advisory out that they will be backing up lake levels and potentially creating increased ice hazards!!

Fishing at the Regional yesterday. The morning started slow 1 small pike in the first 1.5 hours and one missed hit on the tipup. Then in a period of around 8 mins three decent pike all on the tipup. Eventually caught two more on the jigging rod. All fish were released. All pike today no burbot.
Old fishermen never die, they just smell that way.

Buddy was at Collingwood Wednesday said ice was good. With Temps like we've been having though I imagine that ice could start to rot rapidly so no guarantees anymore. I'm going out tomorrow not sure where I will start but more than likely I'll be doing a lot of walking don't want to push my luck!

Was out at the Regional Park yesterday. Access was ok, but there is lots of water on the ice and the top foot is rotten. 10 " holes were 18" whirlpools by the end of the day. Be careful out there!

Anyone still fishing the mountain?  Just curious on ice conditions anywhere on the lake.  Any shoreline problems?  Just looking to walk on.
