Just starting out

Hi all,
My name is Dennis and I am from Lower Burrell. My brothers and I have been talking about ice fishing since last year and we just found some gear on Craigslist to get us started. We hope to get out within the next couple of weeks to give it a try.
If you see 3 big and tall guys acting like they don't know what they are doing stop by and say hi or laugh.

Welcome guys!  Ice fishing is a very addictive sport, as well as this site. You will glean a ton of good info from here and ask lots of questions.  Keep us updated on your success. Good luck and stay safe.

Would like to try Lake Arthur, North Park and Keystone Lake first. Then hope to try out  Pymatuning and some Presque isle.

We got 12 tip ups, a shelter, hand auger a homemade  sled and some lures. Not sure on the Lures. My brother picked them up a day ago and we have not gone through everything yet.
I love pan fish so will be happy with perch and bluegill and would be fun to catch some muskee and pike but mainly the pan fish

As said before welcome to your new addiction! Not just ice fishing, but ice shanty as well! Like the other guys said never hesitate to ask questions because there is a lot of experience on this site. You'll have a blast I'm sure! Good luck and be safe!  :icefish:
