Can I give you some advice on mounting it? Wrap it up in a wet towel and freeze in a garbage bag. Don't commit to a taxidermist until you've seen their work first. Once it's frozen there is no hurry. Sadly there are a lot if gamehead taxidermists that shouldn't even touch a fish. Not all taxidermists are created equal. If you don't see a perch mount that looks like it's just been pulled out of rhe water move on.

And to anyone that thinks so I'm not tooting my own horn, Ii have no interest in doing other than local taxidermy. It just makes me sick the state records and one world record people have brought to me wanting to know if there is anyway I can fix them and repaint.

Thanks guys, and yes taxi1 I have done a lot of research on taxidermists. I have a guy in Minnesota who has done a few walleye for me and dose exceptional work I'm going to have him mount the fish.
