I went Fishing

             Today was not the greatest day to be on the ice, wind gust up to 30 mph, 3.75" of ice. It was a slow day, Jon ny caught 1 Laker
         jigging and I had a laker on a tip-up and lost it, we also caught some smelt. We had the lake to ourselves, Bird 21 was also with us.

Looks like the wind blew all the snow off. Got pretty bad as I was walking off.  Few lookers but no takers for
Me.  Tons of smelt every hole I was in. Glad you guys got one!!

3-3/4" beautiful ice.  I was jigging at lakers with no luck. Got perch in 80' of water, some one needs to tell them they belong in the shallows lol. Nice to be out on clear ice.

3" solid back.  Shore isn't great, it was moving up and down.  Guessing because of the open water further south?  There was a good inch and a half of snow on the way out there.  You see how it looks on the way back.  Just a little windy!

No smelt kept.  Only got a couple of the smallest ones I've ever seen.  Those went on tipups.

Hi Jeff, good to see the Laker Machine is revving up! And I see a new shanty for Jon which can only mean more time on the ice and therefore a record fish count this year! Way to go kicking things off!
