Tangles while hand-lining
« on: Dec 18, 2014, 08:10 AM »
I love my Marmish rod and want to get a few more.  My only problem is keeping the line from tangling when hand-lining it in, especially in a flipover.  No problem on warm days when I can be outdoors and just toss the rod away from the hole, but no-can-do in a shack.  I have been using 2# Northland Bionic Ice line, but this is pretty pliable and "attracts" knot formation when loops adhere while lowering the jig back down.  Any suggestions?

Strictly inline & spinning here. I know some enjoy the Marmish rods but handlining?  No thx. Hard enough on tip ups...
