What's everyone thinking, despite the warm temp today and the rain I am hoping it will still be safe for the weekend... cold temps at night still

As long as the shore ice remains in tact, the main ice sheet (still 16"+) will remain for quite some time. I see no issues at all this weekend (despite the warmer temps and rain) other than close to the creeks and bubblers. After this weekend it'll start to get questionable for sure...

It should be ok this weekend but take it easy.  One cold winter years ago I can remember a foot of ice in March. I thought I would be fishing in April that year. One good rain/wind storm came up and just about everything was gone in  one day! That's always a possibility.  You never know this time of year.

Found a safe 16" of ice out of third creek saturday and a hot bite! Came home with 40 slobs, any reports on snow and ice for today...i have next two days off and would love to get back out there if its still safe!
