Havent really targeted crappies through the ice so this was a nice surprise. 13.5 inches and 1.5 lbs. Was sight fishing and it had gotten darker so i could barely make out fish below me and when i felt a bit i set the hook. Pulled it out of the hole and flipped out. Caught 1 other crappie in the same spot which was cool seeing i went out after perch.

any crappie over 13 inches is big congrats i would hit that spot as soon as the ice goes out they do school in sizes

Nice job gilpil, those big crappies are always a bonus. We got into a pod of them about 3 weeks ago on honeoye along with bull gils. It was a great day. Nice job.
