NEW JIFFY AUGER QUESTION

HEY GUYS MY DAD GOT MY BROTHER AND I A NEW 10"  3HP AUGER. IS THERE ANYTHING I NEED TO KNOW BEFORE I GO OUT AND CUT HOLES. IS THERE ANY ADJUSTING OR THINGS OF THIS NATURE.  I AM EXCITED AS NOW I HAVE PLENTY OF ROOM TO PULL MY 20LB LAKER OUT OF SEBAGO THIS YEAR   HE HE HE.

I have the same one. Just gas it up and go. I also like to let it warm up a little before I use it, it runs better and doesnt stall. Good luck with ure new tool. 8)

So let me get this straight... you have a new VEX And a new 10" 3hp auger!?

that could be why my auger don't run very good

I don't know if your auger is the same as mine, but I put a piece of Duct Tape over the nut on the auger part.  I also spray a silicon lubricant on the stub shaft of the power head. Grease would better, but it makes more mess. Wear creeper on smooth ice because if that baby grabs on it will sling you halfway across the pond.

Thanks guys. My main concern was that it would stall when i am carrying it from hole to hole as my old auger does. I am pretty excited to use it on opening day.

I have one and mine stalls on occasion going from hole to hole.   I e mailed Jiffy a couple of years back because I had to run it with the choke half open.  A quarter turn of the screws by the carb and it purrs like a kitten.   The guys at Jiffy where great, told me exactly what to do.  And responded to the e mail the same day.

Stalling hole to hole.  I figured it out yesterday with my new legand.  BUT ive been drinking getting ready for Xmass.  It was either gas can up or down can't remember or is it sideways?

They all run with the same engine more or less, Unless your one of those yupies that by Swedish augers and buy yupie puddle jumpers at LLBean in your delux cross country volvo.  Are you from Conn.
