super Jumbo bait shop?

Does any body know the name of the bait shop the bait shop I heard about in on northern champlain that sells mega pike bait? Im heading up in the am

Bills in grand isle had some huge shiners a few weeks ago, not sure if they restocked them.

My guess is it was a Champlain only bait dealer.

Martins in highgate springs has the biggest pike bait I've seen this year. I got some xl shad for the derby a couple weeks ago that were huge, some were 10 in or better.

everyone in north gets their bait from hog island so everyone who buys jumbos from HI should have the same jumbos. its just a matter of what they charge, and call them. I know that NCBT always has hand select for $19 a doz... but I can buy the same size bait from flanders in st J for half the money if I get to him on a delivery day bc he will pick out the biggest ones on request without charging more. This all said it all depends on what HI has to sell to the shops. some weeks they get in the 8-10 inchers, other weeks they dont. So getting the super jumbos is more a time thing than a shop thing. from my understanding after a convo with flanders HI charges for bait not by the fish, but by weight and the shops have to sort everything out in terms of mediums, heavies, pike, jumbo. So the shops really just get what HI sends them. All in all I would say hog island would be the best bet as they are the source of the bait

Jumbos and xl differ with each dealer, ive paid for jumbo at certain places that were 5-6 inch and I've bought xl shad at another place that were twice the size of the previously said " jumbo" shad. A lake champlain only bait dealer can trap his own bait and sell it, so not all the shad come from Hog Island.

thats true but most of the bait is coming from hog island, they do ncbt, bayside bait, and most of the other places people are mentioning. unless places are trapping their own which most aren't, they will have the same stuff, just a matter of how bad they gouge you on it.
