I did not want to hi-jack the auger attachment thread but I have a question.... How do you sharpen the bit blade or are you better off getting a new one? Thanks

From what I hear you are better off getting a new blade because 1. it's apparantly extremely hard to do it yourself, and 2. if you send it away to be sharpened it costs you almost or more than it would if you just bought a new one.

If its really dull then its better to just spend the $$$ and get new ones. If its not overly dull you can pick up an auger blade sharpener for around $10. I picked up mine at Cabelas and it works quite well. Just a few quick swipes when I start to feel them getting dull.
No matter how sharp I keep my blades its still becoming quite a pain to drill through 8+" of ice with an 8" Mora. Time to start breaking in the new Jiffy 10"
