well.....not a bad fish to start with,and it even
cut both my thumbs up pretty bad!

right thumb

and the left thumb

nice pike, but I really doubt it will beat a NY pike

in all seriousness great fish, and becareful those toothys will really rip ya up

I use a gaff for those bad boys or I make CarogaKid land them lol

thanks! I was just responding to the gaff post on general chit-chat....and I was saying, I usually use boga grips.....left em in the truck today

Nice looking pike Bluefinforme.

Ouch, those guys will get you every chance they get. Those nasty teeth keep you beeding for some time, almost like they have an anticoagulant in the slime on the teeth.

It's funny you say that beacuse my left thumb stopped bleeding this AM....it happened on sunday AM $:-\$ I thought I had thin blood

.....it clamped down on my pliers something fierce

I have had them clamp on the thumb of my leather gloves and they are really tough to shake, those recurved teeth are very effective in holding. I usually get a bite or two over the season, it's all par for the course in pike fishing.

I usually use Boga Grips....but it's a little more intense without them.....
