As far as overkill... it obviously depends on what your fishing for.  A 30+ walleye is thick, a 40+ pike is equally so, a 40+ laker is the same and through three or four feet of ice it can (is) be nearly impossible to get one to turn into a 10" hole let alone an 8 or 6".

and we have a bingo ;D  Is there any other Bingo's

As Capt J stated it's ice fishing and it can be dangerous and we all know that when we head out.

Wow!! There are a few sensitive people here!!

Not to mention a few proud Patriots that do not stand for having their rights questioned and proposed to be taken away. Seems those same folks take issue with the few that want to divide our wonderful sporting community though criticism of legal technique, and an I am better than thou because... approach to the sport we all dearly love.

Sensitivity? Or PASSION?
