Anyone ever fish bay furnace? Any pointers

The key is finding the channel drop off. If you go out of Trails end rd its a huge flat of 11-14 fow found that out the hard way the first time out there. maybe 500 yards NE, fish between 25-32 fow, for splake, coho, burbit, and random whitey's.   closer walk is the red can u see when driving between xmas and munsing, i park in the tomatoes hot house lot.   Never know what u pull next out of superior

I am very interested in fishing this. What is the ice condition like there? I'd love to pull some coho through the ice and the upper harbor in marquette is just to sketchy for me to fish. Any info would be great. And would you need a snowmobile to just get to the lake? I've camped at tourist park in the summer time and have kayaked that channel between main land and grand island and the drop off isn't too far from shore. Thanks

got out there last weekend... 5 keepers splake and 2 burbot... about the area of the arrow
