Get Together Date :   Sunday Jan. 26, 2014                   .. Rain Date : 2-8-14

Time  :  7:30 AM thru 2:30 PM
Sign In : 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM ( You must contact Shawn, David or myself to sign in and to enter an entry .. I'll be in the blue FishTrap.)
            You must be a registered member to attend.
                      Children don’t have to be registered members.

Location : Jefferson Lake

Directions : From Route 80, take exit 25 and  Route 206 north. You will come to the Byram Diner and a Dunkin Donuts .. at the light make that left hand turn (Waterloo Rd). Go about 1/2 mile watching right hand side for a dirt road with a sign JEFF Lake Camp  ... just past bridge.


Eligible :  Team IceShanty Members .......... children don't have to be members

Prizes :  1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes.       

It will be everyone bring there own as far as food and drinks.

Rules


1  You must be a Team IceShanty member.

2  You must have a valid NJ fishing license and follow all regulations.

3   The entry is by length ... not weight or girth. We will follow the online tourney rule of as the fish lays ...
       not squeezing the tail.       

4   You must contact us / come to us to verify and measure your entry during the posted derby hours. Moderators will have entry measured by another moderator or a member.
       

5    No garbage is to be left out on the ice or in the parking lots ... if you bring it .. you dispose of it.


6    This will be a walk on derby ... no four wheelers or snowmobiles. 


7    Parking is available in the parking lot and along the roads side.


8     You must be present for the handing out of prizes .. if not they will be forfeited.

This is meant to be a get together to have fun and any prizes are just a bonus. 

   

Ice safety: The determination of the safe condition of lake ice is the user’s sole responsibility. Any injuries, etc. are also the user's sole responsibility. By attending you agree to this.

The get together went well today. We had 6 3/4" of ice and some nice fish were entered. 

It was a good turn out and I hope everyone had a good time.   

I'd like to thank Garrett at Andover Hunt & Fish for sponsoring this get together.   

Shawn should be posting pictures today or tomorrow.

Your right Shawn. Signed up and did not make it. No excuse. Was asking about a second round to redeem myself.
Seeing as you outed me in public, for whatever reason, well let's just say... " My bad, IMHO, did not really justify your comment on me not attending". We all might give some consideration as to why there are so many lurkers and non-contributing members, on a board, where one might just get the impression that it's standard policy, to shoot the wounded. I'm commenting with the best of intentions, not trying yo be a smart-ass.

Tony it depends if the snow melts and hardens, ice thickness, etc..
We'll no more in the next week. It may be short notice .. like a week's notice .. but we're trying.
