Not a bad start to the year

Not a bad start.  The fishing was kinda slow but we got a decent variety.  My brother and I landed 6 or 8 LM, 2 SM, 8 or 10 yellow perch, 1 brown, 1 brookie and1 crappie.  Plenty of ice, but it was definitely a little chilly!  -9 when we left the house.

Figures, of all those fish, the two trout were hooked too bad to release.  (Not a big trout fan). There was an older guy fishing near us who hadn't had much luck, so I gave him the brown.  He was pretty surprised and thankful.  Now the brookie is cooking for my supper.
