Lots of ice on the willow creek arm, fishing was good and so was the coyote hunting but the catching not so much.

Sounds like someone went through the ice on their side-by-side yesterday over by Ray's Bay.

Just a heads up.

Went there Tuesday and Wednesday the 14th and 15th. 15-18 inches of ice some slush on the shorelines. Good to go

Thanks for the news.  Glad they are no worse for wear.  How did it happen?  Rotten ice?  Pressure ridge?

Not exactly sure, but it looked like a shallow point that got soft...was only 20 feet from shore.. the guy said he fished it last weekend an it was good... always pays to check i guess especially with the weather we have had... stay dry

YES!   You all need to be very careful around the little islands off shore.  We were coming back from fishing all day, (Sunday night) and went through the ice.  Our trailer stayed on top, but the 4-wheeler went through.  Son of a gun if it didn't float a bit - the top third stayed out of water.  Took about an hour, but we got it out and everything towed back on land.  This was in about 3-3 1/2 feet of water.  Great fishing both Saturday and Sunday and very little wind.

We set out tip-ups in less than 15 feet of water and the flags were flying all day long.  We got all sizes of pike on medium to large sized minnows.  Some were getting niced sized pike right off shore at Willow Creek.

The walleye only got active at dusk and during the night hours.  We got all ours in 6-10 feet of water close to a small island close to Willow Creek, our largest was 22 inches.
