Hello, I have returned to the area for the holidays.  I brought my gear along from Mississippi, and was wondering about the Lake James chain ice report. Any good fishable ice?

Dicksiders they are fishing.  Snow channels if you have parking. Probably about everywhere you used to fish just have a spud handy if nobody around can never be too safe!

Do you have to pay to fish at Docksiders or is this a public place??

No pay, not public, just make sure you don't give um a reason to shut it down!

Last I knew there were no parking signs in the lot.... Has that changed or are people parking somewhere else?

Docksiders doesn't need the internet to get packed.  Once the ice is ok, that place gets a lot of pressure.

That is a light day...I have been out there when 60 people were on the ice. That spot is no secret and posting on this site did not add any extra pressure.

I remember someone had a pic of the launch and it looked like the  parking lot of wally world on black friday.
