A new lure to catch fishermen
« on: Nov 27, 2005, 07:25 AM »
Search for www.webatola.net/fishinglures/ . Instructions and tips for perch fishing on ice are there whether you get the lures or not.
You can not take too many perch, unless you can not clean them, give them to your friends and neighbors to clean and cook. The more perch you take, the faster and bigger the rest  will grow. The walleyes and bass will survive from fry to fingerlings.

That's the go to jig for a lot of Simcoe fishermen. You shake it not so much as jig it. Tried it on Silver with the same results as everything else. A buddy said it reminded him of the old "Conesus Bugs" guys used years ago o Conesus.

The lure is especially meant for those keeping as many as possible, the barbless hook and the design allow you to unhook the fish by simply dropping the hooked fish on the ice and giving slack, the jig slips right out.  VERY VERY efficient method.
