I just found afl12 propack with 12 deg transducer for 349 with free shipping is this a good deal I want to replace 15 year old fl8 for a decent price

I would say NO. The 12 has no zoom .

So basically all you would have is a larger screen fl-8.

I sold my fl-12 because of lack of zoom.

yes that is a good deal on a FL 12 as long as you are not wanting to upgrade to a unit with the auto zoom feature on it. the FL 12 is a flat screen version of the FL-8SE and the only difference is that to get into low power mode with a FL-8SE you need to buy the s cable and with the FL 12 it is built into the unit so no extra cable is needed.

I just got a FL 12 last month as a spare unit and took it out last night and it worked great.

well I ended up ordering the fl18 you guys talked me into it it was on sale for 429 down from 500 so we will see how it works soon hopefully
