My perfect scenario for this weekend includes Turkey day with the family, hopefully a successful deer hunt Friday, deer processing Saturday and get my ice gear out and in the truck, and ice fishing Sun morning.  Looks like it should be cold enough for a small local lake to freeze up by Sunday.

It's only about a 22 hr. drive only stopping and getting gas.  Did it 3 yrs ago for pronghorn and mule deer.

Just drilled a couple test holes out on the Laramie Plains Lakes through 5"  :o  of the hard stuff (though Hattie isn't ready yet).  Both lakes had been previously hit and have been producing good sized trout according to what folks said.  Gonna hit some ice early tomorrow.  Wish I didn't already have plans for tonight!
