Hello Gentlemen

I have come to realize that many of you have a very active social calender. With that in mind, I am attempting to give you as much notice as possible on this years most important social event, the 2013 "Gathering" of ice fishermen. Sunday, December 15th at 12:00 noon at McDanells Landing, Moraine State Park. It is after deer season and the Steelers do not play until 8:30 PM.

Mark your calenders and plan your menu items. See you then

Chris .... this is the Western Pa gig (Moraine ST PK is about 1/2way between Pittsburgh + Eire) they don't worry so much about trying to fish.... more of a meet + greet picinic

When it comes to ice fishing I don't have any problem getting off of the mountain but unfortunately there's no way I'll be able to go to this gathering.

Well, like I said last year, I really am a fishing-preacher, so I tend to have to work on Sundays

However I would really like to make it to this event if possible. I'll plan on trying to head up as soon as church is over and get there a little late.
I'm not sure what I'll try to bring to share yet, maybe a crockpot of Pulled Pork/Venison BBQ?

I camp at Slippery Rock and have been fishing Arthur this summer so I will try and make it. I will definitely bring some home made grub--will see as we get closer.

I'm going to try and make it. I have a ticket to the Steelers game that night. Not sure what my "travel plans" are yet.

sell your ticket. you need the money for more equipment. we will be on the ice this Gathering. my wife makes a killer cherry angel food concoction with cool whip mixed in you DON'T want to miss.

That was some good stuff Blaze I was a definite fan of it. I'll be there, just a matter of what i'll be bringing. Eddie by then the Steelers will be 1-11 (unfortunately that win was against my Jets) you'd be more well served coming to tell us some stories about the fish you didn't catch last winter.

Glad to hear we are having another gathering.I will be there.Chris and eddie how have you been? Chris is right eddie sell that ticket if you can the stinky steelers will be 2 and 10 by then. Oh yes Chris is right don't believe any of thos fish stories from eddie. Cant wait to see everyone again.

I may have a bit of a problem bringing the generator
the truck needs it looks like a rear differential and not sure if dave (the neighbor )is going ot be able to come

I know, I was just having a little fun. Don't tell Scott, but I went to Canada a couple times this summer. The first trip was a fly-in up on the Albany River system, Lake Makokabatan. Pike and walleye galore! I then did a drive in trip to Shining Tree Ontario. The fishing was pretty slow that trip.

Thanks Chubs. I was hoping to seal the deal here in PA. It just was not too be. Looking forward to hitting the ice soon.
