Gulp!

I see a lot of conversation on here that talks about using live and dead bait.  Has anybody tried using a Gulp! 4 inch smelt? I realize that 4 is a bit short, but a lot of the lakes that I fish put out decent numbers but only mediocre size.

I am not about to say not to try it. But in my case I have never had any luck with it in the winter.
