white mistertwisters on a heavy jighead bang the bottom and raise it up when you mark em. If you dont have a flasher get one also gulp minnows with a 6" leader tied to a heavy glow spoon has produced for me.
Just roll me up and smoke me when I die

White pimple.      Buckshots.       Tube jig with sucker fillets.       Even jager61 secret white pimple seems to work

Half a hot dog on a 3/4oz white jig head. The cheaper hot dogs work the best, smokey-er the better!

I quit the bait habit on my lake trout jigs and spoons this year and am never going back.   Slipbob has been telling me for years you don't need minnows on your lure to catch lake trout.  I eschewed them this year, and am catching lake trout at a better rate than I ever have before.

I'm with ya on this one. In my experience, if they're gonna eat they're gonna eat anything, if they aren't in the mood, then they aren't gonna eat live/dead bait either. Bare cleos have caught me a lot of fish soft and hard water.
